Bonsai for Sale
Mini Spruce Starter #218
Picea orientalis is native to Eastern Europe and Turkey, and is prized for having the shortest needles of any spruce species. Many cultivars have been developed for landscaping because the trees have an attractive natural shape.
These 4 year olds are seedlings, and are typical of the slow-growing species. We haven't made too many but we think they'll make great mini bonsai! Or grow them larger for a similar effect to red ezo spruce - a favorite of northern Japanese growers.
Spruce are generally well-adapted to cold and northern climates or higher elevation. We do not recommend these for hot nor southern climates within the USA. (But you can try if you want!)
