Bonsai
Scots Pine Bare-Root Bonsai Starters
Scots pine are one of the most common pines in Europe and Northern Asia. With a naturally short needle - 1-2" in length and a vigorous growth habit these are rewarding to train as young trees and simple to maintain as older trees. With better cold tolerance than Japanese black pine these are a good alternative for people in colder climates.
These are bunches of 5x 1st-year bare-root starters. They will be shipped in a plastic bag with minimal soil.
You should plant the trees in bonsai soil as soon as you receive them, and protect from freezing temperatures until spring; 32-40F is a good temperature to maintain dormancy without damaging the seedlings. In warmer areas they can be potted and left outside without protection.
The photos are representative, and do not show the actual tree(s) you will receive.
